Dear Parents, and New and Returning Students:
Please join the EHS Music Boosters in welcoming Mr. Zachary Deeter as our new Director of Bands, Orchestra and Choir at Estero High School. Mr. Deeter is a recent graduate of Furman University and has earned a BA degree in Music – Music Education. He and Mr. Pardee have been in contact to discuss transition related matters and he is working on preparing for the fast-approaching marching season. Mr. Deeter is anxious to get started, and based on initial conversations, he will be a good fit for our program, and yes, he has marching band experience. He expressed a strong desire to work in a collaborative manner with both students and parents to make participation in the music program a fun, challenging, rewarding experience for everyone involved.
Mr. Deeter currently resides in Clemmons, North Carolina and is making arrangements to relocate to the Fort Myers area. As soon as it is practical, a meet and greet will be arranged.
For now, please be aware of the following:
♫ Music for this year’s show has been ordered and will be forwarded to the students as soon as it arrives.
♫ All marching band practices for the month of July are cancelled.
♫ Band Camp will proceed as scheduled (Full Band Camp August 9 – 13, 8am-8pm).
♫ Leadership (8/4, 8-noon) and Freshmen Camps (8/5 & 8/6, 8-noon) will be held as scheduled.

♫ Further discussion about competitions and other seasonal events will take place once Mr. Deeter arrives.
♫ Preliminary arrangements for staff (including a Color Guard instructor and drill writer) are underway. Updates will be provided as they become available.
